Gazipaşa or Antalya Airport for Alanya? Distance, Flights and Transfers Compared (2026)

Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP) is the closer airport for Alanya: about 40 km from the town centre, a 40–55 minute drive. Antalya Airport (AYT) is about 125 km away, 100–130 minutes by car, but it has far more flights from far more cities. If a good flight goes to Gazipaşa, take it; if not, land in Antalya and book the drive in advance.

Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport: the short drive

Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport lies on the coast south-east of Alanya, in the district of Gazipaşa. It is a small airport, so the walk from the plane to the exit is short. The road into Alanya follows the D400 coast road west through Kargıcak, Mahmutlar and Kestel, which makes the hotels east of the town centre the closest of all.

The catch is the choice of flights. In 2026 Gazipaşa has scheduled flights from Istanbul (both Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen) and Ankara, and from a few cities in Scandinavia, Germany, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan and Russia. Airlines change their routes and days from one season to the next, so check that your airline flies there on your dates before you plan around it.

Havaş shuttle bus

Havaş buses leave after arriving flights and stop along the coast road at Kargıcak, Mahmutlar, Kestel and Tosmur before ending at Alanya's bus station (otogar), about an hour later. The fare is about 350 TL per person (October 2026), paid at the Havaş stand outside the terminal. From the bus station you still need a taxi or a dolmuş to your hotel.

Taxi

Taxis wait outside the terminal. Gazipaşa and Alanya are among Antalya's outer districts, whose taxi tariff has been 60 TL to start plus 70 TL per kilometre since 23 March 2026, with a 250 TL minimum for short trips. To Alanya's town centre that comes to roughly 3,000 TL on the meter; this is our arithmetic, not a published fare.

Private transfer

Your driver waits at the exit with a name sign and drives you straight to your hotel. The price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, and you see it before you book: enter Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport and your hotel in the booking form.

Antalya Airport: more flights, a longer drive

Antalya Airport is the gateway to the Turkish Riviera, with direct flights from most of Europe and many cities beyond it, all year round. That choice of flights, and often lower fares, is why most holidaymakers bound for Alanya still land there.

The price is the drive: about 125 km east along the D400, past Belek, Side and Manavgat, which takes 100 to 130 minutes in normal traffic. No city bus goes to Alanya. The cheapest way is bus 600 to Antalya's bus station and a coach from there, which takes 4 hours or more with the change. A taxi comes to roughly 6,300 TL on the meter, on Antalya's city tariff of 40 TL to start plus 50 TL per kilometre. Our Antalya Airport to Alanya transfer page compares these options in detail, and the Antalya Airport transfer page explains the terminals and where your driver waits.

Which airport is better for your hotel?

  • Mahmutlar, Kargıcak and Kestel: east of the town centre, on the Gazipaşa side. From Gazipaşa you are there in well under an hour; from Antalya the drive takes about two hours or more.
  • Alanya town centre, Oba, Tosmur and Cikcilli: about 40 km from Gazipaşa and about 125 km from Antalya.
  • Konaklı, Avsallar, Türkler and Okurcalar: west of the centre, on the road from Antalya. Gazipaşa is still the nearer airport, but the closer your hotel is to Okurcalar, the less time you save by landing there.

Compare the whole journey, not only the flight. A direct flight into Gazipaşa saves you about an hour on the road each way. A cheaper or better-timed flight into Antalya can still be the better choice, especially if the Gazipaşa option means a change of plane in Istanbul.

Flying home from Alanya

For an international flight from Antalya, leave your hotel in Alanya about 5 hours before departure: about two hours on the road, about 3 hours at the airport, and a margin for summer traffic. For Gazipaşa, about 3 hours before departure is usually enough, as the drive is under an hour. Add your flight number when you book, so the driver takes you to the right terminal in Antalya.

Transfers from both airports

Transfer3E drives from both airports to every hotel in and around Alanya, from Okurcalar to Mahmutlar and Kargıcak. With your flight number we track your flight, and the driver waits at the exit with a name sign. Waiting is free for 90 minutes after landing, you pay the driver in cash in Turkish lira, euros or US dollars, and you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup. Landing late? Our guide to the late-night transfer from Antalya Airport to Alanya covers night arrivals.
