The drive from Istanbul Airport to Kadıköy
Istanbul Airport is on the European side of the city and Kadıköy on the Asian side, so this transfer crosses the Bosphorus. The driver picks the crossing by the traffic at the time: the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge in the north, on the motorway that bypasses the city, or one of the bridges in the city, the Fatih Sultan Mehmet or the 15 July Martyrs Bridge. The trip is about 60 km: about an hour late at night, up to 90 minutes on weekday evenings, when the bridges are at their busiest.
Bridge and motorway tolls are included in our price. Crossing by the Eurasia Tunnel instead costs 10 euros extra, and by car ferry 7 euros. We drive to any hotel or address in Kadıköy, from Moda and Fenerbahçe to Göztepe and Bostancı, and to Üsküdar and Ataşehir nearby.

The Havaist bus is the simplest public option, but it leaves only about every 75 minutes and takes about two hours. The trains are quicker, with changes at Gayrettepe and Yenikapı and the Marmaray line under the Bosphorus. With suitcases or after a long flight, a car is the easy choice: the driver meets you in the arrivals hall and drives you over the Bosphorus to your door.
Arriving in Kadıköy
Kadıköy's centre, around the ferry pier and the market streets of the Çarşı, is busy, partly closed to cars and short of parking. The driver takes you to your hotel door wherever a car may stop; on pedestrian streets they stop at the nearest point and help you with your bags.
Moda, Bahariye, Fenerbahçe and the seafront at Caddebostan are quieter, and most hotels there can be reached by car. From the pier the ferries cross to Karaköy, Eminönü and Beşiktaş on the European side in about 20 minutes.

On the Istanbul meter, 71.94 TL to start plus 47.92 TL per kilometre since July 2026, the 60 km come to roughly 3,000 TL in normal traffic, plus the bridge toll and more in a jam. Our price is fixed per vehicle, with tolls included.
Is there a Havaist bus from Istanbul Airport to Kadıköy?
Yes. It leaves from platform 14 on the transportation floor (-2) about every 75 minutes, stops at Tepeüstü, Yenisahra and Acıbadem and reaches Kadıköy after about two hours. The fare is 515 TL per person (September 2026).
Would Sabiha Gökçen Airport be closer?
Yes. Sabiha Gökçen is on the Asian side, about 40 km from Kadıköy, with no bridge to cross. If you can choose your flight, it is the easier airport for Kadıköy; see our Sabiha Gökçen to Kadıköy transfer.
Can you take me from Kadıköy back to Istanbul Airport?
Yes. Book a pickup from your hotel or address in Kadıköy. For an international flight we suggest leaving 4½ to 5 hours before departure, as the bridges can be slow.
