The drive from Sabiha Gökçen to Üsküdar

Sabiha Gökçen and Üsküdar are both on the Asian side of Istanbul, so this transfer does not cross the Bosphorus and pays no bridge toll. The drive is about 35 km, mostly on the motorway towards the city. Late at night it takes about 35 minutes; on weekday mornings and evenings allow up to an hour.

Üsküdar is the Asian shore of the Bosphorus facing the old city: the square by the ferry pier and the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, Kuzguncuk, Beylerbeyi and Çengelköy along the water, and Altunizade, Acıbadem and Bağlarbaşı up the hill. We drive to every hotel and address in the district.

How you meet your driver

Five steps from the plane to the car.

  1. We follow your flightWith the flight number in your booking we watch your arrival time. If you land early or late, the driver adjusts; delays of up to 6 hours cost nothing extra.
  2. You get the meeting detailsBefore you arrive we confirm the meeting details on WhatsApp. Switch your phone on after landing so the driver can reach you.
  3. Passport control and baggageGo through passport control, collect your bags and walk through customs. Your 90 minutes of free waiting are counted from the moment your plane lands, which is enough for most passport queues.
  4. Look for your nameYour driver waits in the arrivals hall of your flight, international or domestic, with a sign showing your name or the 3E logo.
  5. To the carThe driver helps with your luggage and walks you to the car. You pay at the end of the ride, in cash, in Turkish lira, euros or dollars.

Can't see your driver, or still waiting for a bag? Stay where you are and message us on WhatsApp at +90 541 334 2102. We answer around the clock and will guide you to each other.

Sabiha Gökçen to Üsküdar: your options

There are four ways to get from Sabiha Gökçen to Üsküdar. This is how they compare.

Private transfer Fixed per vehicle, see prices above35–60 minYesDriver meets you in arrivals and drives to your hotel
Taxi Meter: about 1,750 TL35–60 minYesPrice rises in slow traffic; queue at the rank
Havabüs to Kadıköy 300 TL per personAbout 1 h, then onwardNoNo Havabüs goes to Üsküdar; from Kadıköy, a bus, taxi or the Marmaray
Metro M4 and Marmaray Lowest, İstanbulkart faresAbout 1–1¼ hNoM4 to Ayrılık Çeşmesi, then the Marmaray one stop to Üsküdar

Fares checked in October 2026: taxi tariff of 20 July 2026, Havabüs fare from its own site, İstanbulkart and Marmaray fares of summer 2026. They change during the year.

By rail, take the M4 metro from the airport towards Kadıköy and get off at Ayrılık Çeşmesi, one stop before the end, then the Marmaray one stop to Üsküdar, a 4-minute ride. Pay with an İstanbulkart: the Marmaray does not take bank cards. With suitcases it means stairs and a change of train. A car is simpler: the driver meets you in the arrivals hall and takes you to your hotel's door, and the price does not change in traffic.

Arriving in Üsküdar

The square by the ferry pier is busy, and the shore road through Kuzguncuk, Beylerbeyi and Çengelköy is narrow and slow at weekends and around sunset. The driver takes you to your hotel's door, or to the nearest point where a car may stop, and helps you with your bags. Add your hotel's name and address when you book.

From the pier in Üsküdar, ferries cross to Eminönü, Karaköy and Beşiktaş in about 15–20 minutes, and the Marmaray goes under the Bosphorus to Sirkeci, the station for Sultanahmet, in 4 minutes.

Questions about this transfer

How long does the transfer from Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) to Üsküdar take?

About 35–60 minutes for roughly 35 km, depending on traffic.

Is the price per person?

No. The price is per vehicle and fixed when you book, so traffic does not change it.

Where does the driver meet me?

In the arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name. We follow your flight, so the driver is there even if you land late.

Which hotels in Üsküdar do you drive to?

All of them: by the square and the pier, along the shore in Kuzguncuk, Beylerbeyi and Çengelköy, and up the hill in Altunizade, Acıbadem and Bağlarbaşı. Add your hotel's name when you book, and the driver takes you to its door.

How much is a taxi from Sabiha Gökçen to Üsküdar?

On the Istanbul meter, 71.94 TL to start plus 47.92 TL per kilometre since July 2026, the 35 km come to roughly 1,750 TL in normal traffic, more in a jam. Our price is fixed per vehicle and shown before you book.

Is Sabiha Gökçen or Istanbul Airport better for Üsküdar?

Sabiha Gökçen. It is on the same side of the Bosphorus, about 35 km away, while Istanbul Airport is on the European side and the drive crosses a bridge. If you can choose your flight, Sabiha Gökçen is usually the shorter and cheaper transfer.

Can you take me from Üsküdar back to Sabiha Gökçen?

Yes. Book a pickup from your hotel. For an international flight we suggest leaving about 3½ hours before departure.
