The drive from Kadıköy to Sabiha Gökçen Airport
Kadıköy and Sabiha Gökçen Airport are both on the Asian side, so the drive does not cross the Bosphorus and there is no bridge toll. It is about 40 km, east along the D-100 or the coastal road and then on the motorway to Pendik and Kurtköy. Early in the morning or late at night it takes about 40 minutes; on weekday mornings and evenings allow up to 70.
For an international flight we suggest leaving Kadıköy about 3 to 3½ hours before departure: up to an hour on the road, and about 2½ hours at the airport for the security check, check-in and passport control.

From Kadıköy the M4 is a real option: one line, no change, and cheap. It is harder with large suitcases at rush hour, when the trains are full, and before the first train in the early morning.
